Saying Goodbye

On May 28, 2022, Terry Brubaker commenced his next chapter which, to our great misfortune, is a metaphysical one. The departure was abrupt and mildly rude, but also one of the very few ways he would have approved. With loved ones in the room, he took his last breath and left us synchronously distraught and grateful. Much too early an exit, but swift and merciful.

And leaving behind an enormous stack of memories. I will be saying goodbye, and thank you, for the remainder of my life through the daily reminders embedded throughout. Eternally grateful that one of the most patient, insightful, creative, and intelligent people I have ever met just happened to also be my dad.

I love you, pop.
